Working to save the dogs on Death Row at the Mahoning County Dog Pound
WELCOME!
Canine Crusaders is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization located in Northeast Ohio. We work with families and other rescues to help save dogs from the MAHONING COUNTY DOG POUND in Youngstown, Ohio.
This Pound is a high kill facility that is only required to hold dogs for 72 hours before euthanasia... by HEARTSTICK.
We are in desperate need of SHORT-TERM foster homes for dogs awaiting transport to rescues once they are pulled from the pound.

Along with our work to help save dogs directly from the pound we also have some dogs that are available for adoption through our organization.
Most of these are dogs that were at the pound but no rescue groups stepped up to pull them.
Seeing what great dogs they were and realizing that they needed a second chance just as much as the any other dog we pulled them directly for our Rescue.
Adopting a dog from us opens up a spot for another life to be saved from Euthanasia at the Pound.
